Making lunch with Pawpaw Jack

Emery and Hudson love spending time with my Grandfather... PawPaw Jack! He is a wonderful man and my children love him so!! 

Paw makes this concoction he calls "Stoup" in the past it had way too many unhealthy ingredients in it....he has tweaked the recipe! Yay , good job Pawpaw Jack! 

Today it had fresh zucchini, celery, carrots, onion, peppers, lean ground turkey (he grumbled about that, beef is so much better...hehe) , noodles and random spices! My minions ate carrots and "helped" cut and cook lunch!! 

Wonderful memories for everyone!! 

Garden at Pop's house

Strawberries, Onions, Tomatoes, Sweet peas.... soo much more! We helped Pop's plant his small raised garden "flower bed" they found a super cute antique be frame and built a box to fit!! The "flower bed" is a perfect fit to go with their cute house and nice little yard! 

We had a fun day...first wandering around nurseries picking out plants, herbs, veggies we NEEDED! Then turning the soul, mixing more dirt in.....lastly planting all the wonderful things in the garden!! 

( Too bad Pops is making such a grouchie face....he wasn't ready for the picture! I think it's hilarious...Pops, not so much! )

This recipe was so easy, so fun and Hudson got to help in the kitchen! Three oh so positive things! Everyone loved them, but they are better fresh out of the oven! I may or may not have eaten way too many!!

Only wish I had a pastry wheel....they would have been so much prettier! I will be buying one soon! (Also I used butter instead of shortening  and everything organic....doesn't really matter but I'm pretty sure it turns out the same way!!)

Fort Worth Piggies

Just got back from Fort Worth! The girls showed their "big girlie" pigs! They had so much fun and Sally enjoyed their pig show weekend! Avery got to skip school on Monday plus everyone got to eat cotton candy, twisted tornado potatoes and rock candy!! Fun memories!
